Ser Dontos led her away, but where or to whom? Here are some theories we have about where Sansa might be headed. But what if he's not? Dontos is pretty fond of his wine, so it's possible that he's actually decided that he's the knight in shining armor that Sansa has been waiting for. I've got a theory that he knew what he was doing, if he had been sober and in his right mind he wouldn't have gone anywhere near any of this.

I just don't think he really thought about the consequences of it all. But does he have a hand in the death itself? Or just getting Sansa out of there? I think he has a bit of both—it will depend on where they go with how Joffrey is killed. There's a few little hints but it's not exactly explicit by the end of episode three exactly how he dies.

It's definitely something to do with Littlefinger, whether I was involved with it and Sansa, whether it's got to do with the necklace or not, is left slightly open, which is good. It's good to have secrets.

There's a few bos ticked for him. First of all, he gets the money. He's been a poor drunk all this time. I think that's a quite motivating factor. Also, he gets revenge on Joffrey. But yeah, he really does have a lot of affection for Sansa and she did save his life.

And I think he thinks he's genuinely doing something good. But if he could earn a bit of money along the way, you know, all the better. We were sorry to see you killed off—you saved Sansa! He should've known better. He instructs Sansa to wear the hairnet at Joffrey's wedding, and she does. After Sansa flees from the Purple Wedding , she notices that one gem in missing from the hairnet, and realizes the significance.

She confronts Dontos about it and accuses him of poisoning Joffrey, but he denies that there was poison in the gems and that he had anything to do with the murder.

Dontos is killed in a slightly different manner than in the show: at Littlefinger's command, he is shot by three crossbow bolts to the chest, throat, and belly.
