His father is happy that his favorite son is back and they are all impressed with his new girlfriend. After talking to her Armando begins to wonder about his brother's new wealth. When he finds out his brother is a drug dealer he begins to second guess everything. When a family tragedy occurs it is up to Armando to avenge the Alvarez name. I have to preface this by saying that I am a huge Will Ferrell fan and love just about everything he has done wasn't a fan of "Semi-Pro".

After the masterpiece that was "Anchorman" he did seem to make a few movies where he played that guy over and over. I really liked it but when you saw a movie with him you knew exactly what you were gonna get. Then I saw "Everything Must Go". I gained more respect for him after that because of his stretch to become more of a dramatic actor.

Then he does this movie I was looking forward to it but wasn't sure what to expect. I should have known however. The comedy is definitely Ferrell type comedy Cheesy effects and bad editing make it that much funnier. We display the minimum age for which content is developmentally appropriate. Problems arise when a competing drug lord named La Onza launches a drug war. First off, and before you even consider seeing CDMP, you must keep in mind this film is shot in Spanish and is subtitled. First the bad news. Since the film is made to be visually funny, the fact that you have to keep an eye on the bottom of the screen reading, reading, reading means you may miss the on screen jokes. The good news is that the script is so bad you can skip the subtitles.

And, even better, you can read the subtitles and skip the bad on-screen visuals which are about as funny as sitting on a spiny Agave plant. This movie is meant to be a take off on Westerns and Mexican dramas. The combination turns out to be as entertaining as trying to blow up a flat tire using your lungs and mouth. Will Farrell stars as Armando Alvarez.
