The integration of the two cancer inpatient units will have its limits, however. The Dana-Farber beds will be moved into separate units in the Brigham and Women's cancer inpatient unit. With the addition of the Dana-Farber beds, Brigham will operate an inpatient cancer unit of 80 beds. Sixty-three Dana-Farber nurses also will make the move across the street to the cancer wards at Brigham and, in the process, will become employees of the Boston hospital.
